Las Vegas' Latin Chamber of Commerce has launched an initiative called LCCUN that is designed to help Latino-owned businesses in Southern Nevada access global networks by creating opportunities for them to connect with potential international business partners. This initiative is being rolled out as the Latin Chamber prepares to celebrate its 50th Anniversary in 2026 and to expand geographically into new markets to provide greater economic opportunities for Hispanic entrepreneurs outside Las Vegas.
LCCUN, short for Unified Nevada, is framed as a bidirectional program that will both help Nevada-based entrepreneurs expand abroad and attract international investment into the state. Chamber leaders said the effort will leverage relationships with consulates and international organizations, including interest from non-Hispanic partners.
“We're taking our members global,” Guzman said. “We have partnerships with all the consulates. We're going to increase those. And by the way, not just Hispanic consulates. The Japanese consulate called me this morning. They want to be in on this with us. So we're going to keep expanding this.”
“They are also always looking to bring their businesses here to the state of Nevada,” said Iris Jones of the Latin Chamber of Commerce. “So we will be that connection between the consulates, between the international organizations that wants to invest in small businesses in Nevada and their communities.”
Educational partnerships are a central component of the initiative. The program was unveiled at an event at the College of Southern Nevada, highlighting a classroom-to-career pipeline that ties global business exposure to local workforce development.
“43% of our students identify as Latino,” Ebert said. “And so when you can make a connection with adults and students see themselves of what they can be, they see what they can be, they can move forward.”
“It's a wonderful opportunity for all of us coming together and making sure that we're not only local Southern Nevada, that we're not only Nevada, but that we serve a global community and that we're a global destination,” Ebert said.
While the announcement outlined the program's goals and scope, specific timelines, participating partners, and measurable targets were not disclosed, with additional details expected as the initiative develops.
