"Mother Road" is a script-in-hand production of Octavio Solis' powerful, contemporary sequel to "The Grapes of Wrath." The play follows William Joad on a final cross-country journey as he confronts legacy, identity, and unfinished family ties in a modern America far removed from the Dust Bowl. "Mother Road" is an epic, beautiful, and extremely human exploration of an American myth. It examines concepts such as inclusion and exclusion and the importance of healing by revisiting an old tale through today's value systems and beliefs.
